ABRASCANOLA delivers claims list to representative of the Ministry of Agriculture during Expodireto


This Thursday (08), the president of the Brazilian Association of Canola Producers (ABRASCANOLA) and CEO of BSBIOS, Erasmo Carlos Battistella, and the managing vice-president of the entity, Fábio Júnior Benin, gathered with the general coordinator of Agro-energy of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, João da Silva Abreu Neto. The meeting occurred in the stand of BSBIOS biodiesel industry at Expodireto 2012.

On that occasion, a claims list, which relates to financing resources for research, support on the fulfillment of rural pesticide record project for agriculture, rise of the minimum price for the crop, as well as support for the canola productive chain structuring.

According to CEO Battistella, the support of the Ministry of Agriculture is very important. "We widh the development of canola crop in all its chain, so it is necessary policies and structuring actions," said the president. Abreu Neto seemed receptive to the claims, "we receive the demands of the productive chain of canola crop and will give our governmental support so that they are met, since we believe in the crop as raw material for biodiesel production".

The Ministry, as a first support action, will provide resources for the accomplishment of the VI Course of Training and Broadcast of Technology in Canola Crop, which happens on March 15th, 2012, at Embrapa-Trigo. The managing vice-president, Benin, emphasizes that the support of the federal government is fundamental for the achievement of the event. "We aim at increasing the area, for this purpose our farmers must be well prepared so the government support is very important", said Benin.

The course is a promotion of ABRASCANOLA ein partnership with Grupo DRS and Embrapa-Trigo, with partnership of BSBIOS, Mosaic Fertilizantes and Celena Alimentos and support of ADVANTA.
