BSBIOS fraternizes with customers


Last Thursday evening (29) was dedicated to the fraternization among customers, partners and suppliers of BSBIOS. More than 200 people participated in the activity at Palazzo Events, in Passo Fundo (RS).



The chief executive officer of BSBIOS, Erasmo Carlos Battistella, emphasized that the company aims at celebrating the partnerships developed. "It is an honor for us to end one year more fraternizing, it is an important moment to strengthen ties and to give thanks for the confidence in our company and renew our commitment with everybody," emphasized Battistella.



The event, which was also a celebration, counted on technical lectures. The socio-advisor of MB Agro, Alexandre Mendonça de Barros, spoke about the grains market current situation. "Biofuels take important position among the main factors that drive prices pattern of rural commodities," asserted Barros.



The assertion was supported by Battistella who spoke about the growth perspectives of the biodiesel sector. "The country has conditions to advance even more. Today, Brazil has its all chain prepared, including the supplying of enough raw material to have the B20 (addition of 20% of biodiesel to mineral diesel)," emphasized the businessman, after the guests had attended the dinner.



BSBIOS

BSBIOS, which was formed from the paritary union between BSPAR and Petrobras Biofuel, owns its head office in Passo Fundo (RS) and a branch in Marialva (PR), producing approximately 300 million liters of biodiesel/year. The raw materials used are: soybean, cottonseed oil and bovine tallow. The gaúcha industrial plant also counts on a unit of grain processing that consumes 850 thousand ton of soybean/year. It produces 158.400 ton/year of degummed oil and 660 thousand ton/year of soybean meal. It has capacity to storage 182.3 thousand ton of grains and 66 thousand ton of bran in its complex of grain reception. The company hires directly more than 400 collaborators and more than 1000 indirectly. The plant also produces reflexes in the field, at least 35% of all acquisition of grains is result from the production of fifteen thousand family farmers who are soybean and canola producers in the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná.
